Despite difficult weather conditions with high humidity and clouds the total lunar eclipse in the night from 15th to 16th June 2011 could successfully be observed and photographed from top of the Wasserkuppe in the Rhön mountains. The event was webcasted LIVE on the internet by Astronation.net. As observation site the viewing platform of the radome at ca. 960 meter above sea level could be used.
